Candidate status settings
The BambooHR integration uses at least two check status values, but can optionally use up to four statuses if desired.
Requesting checks
To request a check through BambooHR, you need to move a hiring candidate into a specific status. This status is determined by the status you select in the "request" status dropdown menu. It is recommended to create a custom status in your BambooHR dashboard specifically for this purpose so it is clearly shown when an applicant has had a police check ordered.
Check created
Once our system creates a new police check (check creation may take up to 15 minutes after requesting), NCC will change the status of the applicant to the option you choose in the "created" status dropdown. You can create a custom status for this purpose or use one of the existing status options.
Check started
When the applicant follows the link to start their police check, NCC can update the applicant's BambooHR status to the option chosen in the "started" status dropdown. If you do not want the applicant's status to change when they have started their check, select the Do not use this status option at the top of the dropdown menu.
Check completed
Once the police check is complete and the result is available, NCC can update the status to the option selected in the "completed" status dropdown. If you do not want the applicant's status to change when they have finished their check, select the Do not use this status option at the top of the dropdown menu.
